Bio

Onel Jimenez is a saxophonist that plays jazz with an edgy style that fuses his musical experiences which include Blues, Rock, R & B, Latin and Reggae.

He made his way onto the San Antonio music scene playing with the Trinidad Panmasters.  The Panmasters were one of the most popular bands in the area at that time and opened for The Wailers, Pato Banton, Burning Spear, Third World, Inner Circle, Lisa Lisa, Cheap Trick, and Huey Lewis and the News.

He went on to perform with a number of San Antonio based artists and bands like Ruben V, La Bella, Europa, The Bluebucks, and Chris Taylor.  Through the years he has played in variety of settings and venues before audiences ranging from small groups to festival crowds.

Although he performs with a number of groups and artists, he's at his best as an instrumental soloist.  He has shared stages with or opened for many well known recording artists such as Warren Hill, Will Donato, Dean James, Nick Colionne, Gerald Albright, David Wells, Paul Brown, Stanley Jordan and Rick Braun.  Check the Calendar for upcoming dates.
